The Clarisonic Plus utilizes the same technology as the Sonicare toothbrush. It uses vibration to penetrate the surface level of the skin and provide a more thorough cleansing than with soap and water alone. I've used this system for 2+ weeks and noticed a difference in the texture and softness of my skin immediately. After 3 days, I saw a visible difference in the size of my pores and my skin has a glow that wasn't previously there.
It comes with 4 different brush heads - normal, delicate, sensitive, and a spot therapy brush for the body. It also comes with trial size cleansers for the face and an exfoliating product for the body. There are 4 speed settings - low, medium, high and a spot therapy setting that is not available on the Clarisonic Classic or Mia models.
I personally use the Clarisonic along with Philosophy's Purity cleanser and I am very pleased with the results. The cleanser included with the product is acceptable but I don't see myself using it when I already have a better product on the shelf.
One benefit is that your skin care products will last longer if you are using the Clarisonic Plus. I find that I am using less cleanser, moisturizer, etc because my skin is cleaner and has fewer layers of dead skin cells so products are absorbed into the skin much better than before. For example, I apply a mask each week of bentonite clay and apple cider vinegar that normally warms and tightens as it dries on the skin. After using the Clarisonic for a week, the warming and tightening of the mask intensified and my skin was smoother than normal.
Another reviewer commented about not needing multiple speeds. While I agree that I only use one speed, I don't think there is any way that Clarisonic could know which speed is right for all people so I think its a good thing that there are different speed options. Also, if it were set at one speed then it probably would not be very effective on the body. Anyone familiar with skin care knows that the face and body can't normally take the same products or manipulation. |

Think of how much $ you've spent over the years on cleansers, scrubbers, etc...think about it, seriously think about it..b/c after using this product, it made me think of how much I've wasted and should have spent it on this product. WHY you ask...No matter how expensive/cheap/raved about cleanser I've used, nothing really cleaned my face. It would either dry it up, leave some type of a residue, or just irritated my skin. After years of trial and error, I gave up, and stuck to good ol fashion water and oil of olay. I'm blessed with good skin, but I still have my problem areas. I got this as a gift. VERY GLAD I did.
I was skeptical. I was hesitant and kinda scoffed at the idea that a rotating brush could do much for me. I felt my skin before I used the product, pretty darn smooth. I tested it after I used the product - wow, it made my before skin feel like sand paper. I just knew that it cleaned out buildup of product (makeup, cleanser, lotion, whatever) because my skin actually GLOWED. I used the standard 2 minutes function on my t-zone. It really buffed away some spots that had raised bumps before. Pretty insane b/c I really didn't think I need this product. I could only imagine what it could do for people who have problematic skin.
So all the products i've bought/used before couldn't even come close...made me feel like I did waste a lot of money.
What else do iI like about the Pro vs. the Mia - the 4 speed rules - only because I want it. I end up using the standard speed a lot for me face. It also seems like the handle is a little bit bigger than the regular model. I don't think the Clarisonic cleaners that it comes with are all that fabulous. My skin feels a little bit drier than when I use some other stuff - I recommend you use your own cleansers (as long as it doesn't have exfoliants in it. If it does, then take the brush off the machine after each use to clean it out - or it will cause build up. I like that there are grooves under the brushes so water can flow out and not stay stagnant in the machine. The design of the handle is ergonomic and comfortable to use. I would suggest making it lighter - when you're using the body brush, it gets to be a little heavy after a few runs.
I like the brush head that it comes with. Great for sensitive skin, great at all modes of the machine (I use the Pro mode for m t-zone and chin - my problem areas) - about once a week. I use it every other day on the normal speed. And alternate with the body brush.
What I find most valuable - BODY BRUSH! This is what really hit me. I've tried different types of brushes and exfoliants, but my skin just wasn't baby soft. I've spent $ at spas doing a full body scrub. Yeh, my skin is silky smooth awesome, but it only lasts for a few days, then I feel a few dry spots here and there. Not anymore!!! Dry spots GONE. Skin Smooth. It's amazing. What I spent for 2 body scrubs = this machine. It makes me happy. PLUS this has cleared up dry spots that body scrubs have missed - the back of my thighs and upper arms. My skin is like butter now.

My wife ordered this item after much discussion with me over its substantial price. She opted to get this version on amazon rather than the version with a few extras on a shopping channel since that site had a long back-order time. Once the package arrived...promptly shipped and with excellent service from the seller, she gave me the touch test. She had me feel her skin before and then after she used it. Yes, it works very well and I was impressed. She uses it regularly now and is extremely glad she got it. I'm even okay now with the price of the unit compared to the more budget friendly similar units you can buy at your local store.
The quality of the unit, its charging cradle, its in-the-shower ready ease of use and comfortable fit in your hand make me think she made a solidly good purchase. |

I was a little skeptical about getting this because of the price but after talking with my husband and him encouraging me to try it. I got the Clarisonic Pro 2 weeks ago today and all I can say is WOW!!!! I usually don't write a lot of reviews but, I just had to tell everyone thinking about getting this that you won't be disappointed. After it arrived I put it on the charger that morning and tried it out later that evening. I knew from the very first use that it had cleaned my face better than anything I had ever tried before. My skin felt so soft and clean, really clean. I looked at the brush and it was so nasty and brown from all the dirt that was on my face. The funny thing is I had just washed my face and I thought it was clean but now I know what clean really is. My face is radiant now; it feels so soft and smooth. I have spent so much money on cleansers, acne products, etc over the years and to think all I needed was the Clarisonic. I had adult acne or what I thought was adult acne, on special creams from my dermatologists and nothing was working on my sensitive skin. I tried every treatment out there, I'm 47 years old and I thought ok...I have to live with the pimples and the acne because it's not going away. Now after using this for 2 weeks my skin glows, I have had people ask me what I'm I using on my face now because it looks so much better than before. I have never had anyone ask me what I'm using I'm usually the one asking what everyone else is using so I can run out and jump on yet another bandwagon.
I have only had maybe 2 new pimples show up since I started using this but, instead of hanging around for days on end or weeks. They had cleared up in 2 days, no kidding at all. I think that was a part of the purging process that people talk about having since using this. My makeup just goes on so much better and my face creams just glide on and goes in and I feel like they are not just stuck on the top layer but, actually going deep down and working. My pores have been reduced so much and the old scars are less visible. I have told both of my daughters that they have to get this facial brush. If they don't I will probably get it for them as a Christmas gift. I use this 2 times a day morning and night. I use the 1 minute cleansing with my 3 step system from Clinique. I love the body brush also but, the facial brush is the cat's meow. The rough patches on my body around my elbows and knees have gone, my neck looks wonderful. I find myself looking in the mirror and asking is this my skin? It feels 100% better than any cream or lotion that I have ever used before.
All I can say is don't think about the cost, it will pay for itself. I usually treat myself to a spa facial at least 2 or 3 times and year, for the cost of 2 facials this machine is paid in full. |

| Wow. My skin feels so clean it is unbelievable! I love the face brush and the body brush is awesome too! Great for chest and neck area or any other problem spots. So glad I went with the Plus rather than a smaller less expensive unit. Very easy to use and change settings. I also use Obagi products and so my skin was looking a little flakey some of the time. With this unit you can set it to have an extended session to scrub away all that flakey skin. I cannot recommend this unit enough. Also my Dr. explained that my products will work better and penetrate better into my skin now that I have the clairsonic. Wish I would have had something like this as a teen! Clean, fresh skin! |

| For years I have washed my face using a soft-bristled brush. I think that the bristles help insure that every pore gets cleaned properly and moving the brush in small circles helps stimulate circulation to the skin. When I heard about the Clarisonic, I thought that it wouldn't be much of an improvement over my trusty brush but I went to Sephora to look at the Clarisonic anyway. After seeing the pulsing action of the brush head, I realized that I had to have one. Naturally, I turned to Amazon.com (which I lovingly refer to as "Amazing.com") to make my purchase. I could hardly wait for the Clarisonic to arrive and now I am totally addicted to it. I started slowly, using it only once every other day - I am 60 and have sensitive skin - but I use it now twice daily and love the results. Assuming that the device holds up well, I consider this the best beauty investment that I have made this year. |

Ok first off I admit I am a gadget and product freak. I have been using the Clarisonic for about a month now and I can not believe the difference it has made in my skin.I mean HUGE difference, where my sister said "what are you doing to your skin it GLOWS" !! I am also using the Resurgence Skin care line and will say after using the cleanser and the Clarisonic my skin feels and looks fantastic. I had a little bit of redness and breakouts at first ( and this was only on my cheeks) which concerned me as I did not have breakouts even as a teenager, and thought it might be the Resurgence- but called them and they recommended I try it for at least 30 days to let my skin get used to the new products I am so glad I did!!
I grew up on the beach in the days of face baking and at 50 was starting to see some sun damage, uneven skin tone, enlarged pores, white heads, blackheads (yuk) etc etc etc. The fine lines are gone and my skin is tight and smooth and a light foundation goes on flawlessly. (Yeaaaa!!)
I loved the Skin Polish that came with the kit but was so-so on the cleaners...
It was a little pricey but after reading the reviews of the other brushes that rusted. I am so glad I got this. You will not be disappointed. Let's face it girls when we look good we FEEL good. ; ) |

| Nice product. I felt my face is cleaner and smoother after using this product than simply wash with my bare hands. However, I will recommend buying the standard version for less $, the one with just one speed. I brought the PRO version, which comes with 3 (or 4) speeds and therapy kit, for higher amount of $. I never used more than one speed. |

if you don't have $200+ to spend on cleaning and improving the texture of your skin, I have discovered another method: Philosophy Exfoliating Wash. Started with the Clarisonic and was happy, but still had some flaking and dry skin patches. I am in my early 50's, and my skin is becoming dry. I discovered Philosophy's Exfoliating on [...]. Purchased a huge 32 oz bottle for $50, and after one wash, my skin felt like silk (ingredients include borage oil, diatomacious earth is the exfoliant) without flaking or dry patches, and my moisturizer and serums just melted into the my skin and worked beautifully. This 32 oz bottle is still nearly half full. You can purchase Philosophy products on Amazon via Sephora with free shipping and handling, or go into the Sephora store and get a free sample before purchasing.
I wish I had purchased the face scrub prior to spending $225.00.
